We got up and headed to the airport. Kalun’s flight left at noon, ours left at 5pm. It took us a good 3 hours to travel from the apartment to the airport. Kalun barely caught his flight. But then with 5 hours left for the rest of us, we spent our time looking through the shops in the airport mall, bought a few more presents, took a timeout for a massage chair, sat overlooking the terminal while sipping coffee, and I managed to come down with a fever.
So we finally board our airplane and then we wait. And wait. And wait. Finally the captain comes on and explains that they found a problem with the atmospheric conditioning unit, specifically the o-zone scrubbers were not working (i.e. we would all be poisoned if they took off). Two hours later (of sitting on the plane) they fixed the problem and we began our 9 hour flight home. I slept for most of the journey. Before too long, we were back in Seattle. Went through many hoops getting through customs and eventually made it home.
The spring break whirlwind was finally over… now its time to process the hundreds of photos that Brett and I have taken.
